Neil Starr was born in Norwich UK. When he was 9 years old his father gave him a box of old records and an old wind up Gramophone.
The records were all popular music from the 1920s and 30s, it was love at first listen and started Neil off on a quest for more records of the same type of music.
Record collecting became an abiding passion which continued right up till today.
Neil's interests are particularly aimed at 1920s and 30s British and American dance bands, musical theatre from that era and early Jazz records.
He has presented That Gramophone show on radio and podcast for a number of years and is happy to be presenting it on Radio Today once again.
That Gramophone Show - Sundays 17:00 to 18:00.
